Johnny Ligmanowski answers his e-mail
Q&A with Johnny

CHICAGO'S FAVORITE EQUIPMENT MANAGER , Johnny Ligmanowski, had another mailbox opened for him on the Bulls' Home Court. He has been working long hours to get ready for the playoffs, but he took a moment to respond to questions sent to him from Bulls fans around the world.

Q: What is the most important item that you take to the games?
Jim Keller
Las Cruses, NM

A: Uniforms!

Q: Does anybody else besides Michael wear an item from his college during the games?
Forrest Olson
Round Lake, IL

A: No, but Jud and Steve have been wearing their Arizona T-shirts since Arizona won the national championship. They only wear them at practice though.

Q: Do the other players need to get Michael's permission to wear his Air Jordan's?
Nancy Stytz
Lombard, IL

A: Yeah, they pretty much go through him. Once he okays it, then Nike sends the shoes, but he's been letting everyone wear them this year.

Q: Given their limited success, will the Bulls wear their black uniforms during the playoffs?
Scott A. Smits
Grand Rapids, MI

A: I would say that it is unlikely, but it is a possibility. We can wear any road uniform we want to until the NBA Finals. If we're fortunate enough to be in the NBA Finals, then we have to pick one or the other. We can wear the black uniforms, but that hasn't been determined yet.

Q: What are some of the Bulls' playoff superstitions?
Zwolf Rainer
Luxembourg

A: I don't know if we have any superstitions, but we will wear the black shoes and black socks again this year. That's been our tradition.

Q: Do any of the Bulls get really nervous during the postseason?
Lisa Moser
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada

A: I'm sure that everyone gets a little nervous, but I think that most of our guys have been in the postseason enough that they know what to expect and know how to handle it.

Q: Is Michael going to wear the Air Jordan XII's again for the playoffs or does Nike have something new for him?
Raymond
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

A: Yes. He'll be wearing them in black with red and in black with white.

Q: When the Bulls are on the road, do the hotels make special accommodations for the players, such as extra long beds or higher showers?
Jurgen Ratering
The Netherlands

A: No, nothing like that, there's just more security.

Q: What is your routine each day? How does it change if there is a game?
Karen Martinez
Odessa, TX

A: Game days are much longer days. We have practice in the morning and I don't go home until after the game, so it's a good 15-16 hour day. On a regular day, we just have practice. It can vary, depending on what is going on. Some days can be four hours, some eight and if you're on the road, you're on the road.

Q: I noticed that Michael has stopped wearing the sleeve on his left leg. Had he primarily worn it out of habit or did he once have an injury to that area?
Michael Thatcher
McAllen, TX

A: He stopped wearing the sleeve and started wearing the longer socks. I don't know how many people noticed that, but he wears his socks more baggy now than before. He got rid of knee sleeve and changed his socks, so it was more of a fashion statement than anything else.
